Dear Andy,
Thank you for requesting further information on AT Squared’s Advance Training Courses.
AT Squared’s Advanced Training is unique, whereas normally completing the IAM or RoSPA Advanced motorcycle course will take months, much of which is repeating lessons learned on the previous ride due to time constrains of the volunteer observers, AT Squared’s course take 6 days. This is an intensive learning experience which engrains the lessons learned as you repeat the new skills continually throughout the course and starts to change how you ride, it rewires your muscle memory into this new way of riding.
The course we provide takes 6 days, a one-day classroom briefing and assessment ride and 5 days in Scotland practising the techniques required to successfully pass the test. The format looks like this:-
Two weeks prior to Scotland Assessment Day.
Advanced Course.
Monday Day 1. Head out from Settle North Yorkshire to Scotland A & B roads. arrive in Moffat, debriefing and log book work.
Tuesday Day 2. Scotland, A, B, dual carriageway work, possibly some motorway. Arrive hotel for 2 nights, debrief and log book work.
Wednesday Day 3. Rides around Scotland practising further techniques and locking them into your riding style, debrief and log book work.
Thursday Day 4. Rides back to Moffat hotel, debrief and log book work. Meet the examiner evening.
Friday Day 5. Test day. Each Associate will have an hour to show the examiner skills learned whilst riding back to Settle. Results given following the Test ride.
This is a very brief outline of the course, there is much more to it, if you would like to discuss attending a course or find out more detailed info please email or better yet, call me on the number below. The dates and costs are on the website, just click the link below.
